At twenty-two years old, Sydney is enjoying a great life: She’s in college, working a steady job, in love with her wonderful boyfriend, Hunter, and rooming with her best friend, Tori. But everything changes when she discovers that Hunter is cheating on her—and she’s forced to decide what her next move should be.
Soon, Sydney finds herself captivated by her mysterious and attractive neighbor, Ridge. She can’t take her eyes off him or stop listening to the passionate way he plays his guitar every evening out on his balcony. And there’s something about Sydney that Ridge can’t ignore, either. They soon find themselves needing each other in more ways than one.
A passionate tale of friendship, betrayal, and romance, Maybe Someday will immerse readers in Sydney’s tumultuous world from the very first page.
“Our eyes remain in silent… people don’t get to choose who they fall in love with. They only get to choose who they stay in love with.”
This is my first CoHo novel and probably my first time reading NA novel. And it was a great experience. I’m not saying this is gonna be my favorite book, but man, I do love this book and enjoyed every bits of it. I like how honest this book is and presented us realistic things.
You may feel uncomfortable how things happened or why things happened in the first place but I love how Sydney and Ridge dealt each situation. It’s just good to see. They are two mature people indeed. They gave respect towards each other and the person who might be hurt because of them. Maggie.
“If there are two people in this world capable of finding a way to love each other, it’s us.”
They fight the feeling. But really, there are some things that is beyond our control. But that doesn’t mean that we will ditch people because they cannot make us feel the same way as the way they did before. And that’s what I like about the characters. They tried to hold on. For the sake of respect and love they’ve had.
But I’ll be honest I didn’t like the fact that Ridge loved other girl while loving Maggie. Even if Sydney is the main character. It’s a jerk thing to do.
But maybe it’s like that in real life.
We will love multiple times and think that each person is the one. We will be hurt lots of times. Before we can actually find the one we are destined to be with.
“I don’t know why I’m trying to hide my reaction from him, but isn’t that what people do? We try so hard to hide everything we’re really feeling from those who probably need to know our true feelings.”
Even if Ridge loves Sydney now, Maggie will always have a special place in Ridge’s heart. I guess we can never unlove the people we had loved. >We will always love them, but in a different way now.
“FOR HER I BEND, FOR YOU I BREAK”
I like how they make and write songs. It’s just so romantic.
And how the songs have a playlist we can listen to. Sung by Griffin Patterson.
My favorite is Maybe Someday and I’m in Trouble
I love Colleen Hoover ‘s way of writing. It is honest. And beautiful.
“There are only twenty-six letters in the English alphabet. You would think there would only be so much you could do with twenty-six letters. You would think there were only so many ways those letters could make you feel when mixed up and shoved together to make words.
“However, there are infinite ways those twenty-six letters can make a person feel…”
